FAQ
The Everest Sky Race is a multi-stage trail race starting from Phaplu, after a bus transfer from Kathmandu, and reaching the Khumbu trails via Kharikhola, Phakding and Thame. Each stage links Sherpa villages and high passes, with full logistical support.
After an acclimatisation day between Thame and Lumde, the race crosses the Renjo La at 5,360 m and drops to the Gokyo lakes, then climbs Gokyo Ri. Very high-altitude stages facing the Himalayan giants.
Administrative formalities, medical checks and bag preparation take place in Kathmandu before the start. The race ends in Lukla, from where a flight takes runners back to the capital. An extraordinary physical challenge for trained trail runners.
